Durability is not something that can be said of all concrete floors, but when prepared and installed properly, a polished concrete floor can be highly durable and abrasion resistant – two things that are critical to high traffic airplane hangars. In order for it to meet those high durability standards, we use a polishing technique at the microscopic level of the concrete.

Polished concrete is often an extremely durable low cost option for hangar floors. When properly cared for, polished concrete floors need relatively low maintenance when cleaning. Polished airplane hangar floors simply require a daily sweep with an auto-scrubber, and then a yearly reapplication of sealant to block out water, grease, and oil spills that can affect the life and beauty of the polished concrete floors.
